Clan Maclean Map Legend
|
Ian MacLean, past president of Clan Maclean Atlantic, along with staff of I.R. Mapping,
has produced a new map of Scotland that highlights the history of Clan Maclean. He
used all the classic Maclean history books, as well as many other books on Scots
history as his sources. Allan Maclean of Dochgarroch, and Fiona Maclean of Ardgour,
provided much guidance and assistance.
The maps are approved and sponsored by the Clan Maclean Heritage Trust.
The map features the sites of castles that have Maclean connections, land areas that
the Macleans held for at least some time, and battles. The major battles in which
Macleans were involved are all listed, as are many of the more notable clan fights.
The maps are a full colour 18" x 24" depiction of Maclean history, suitable for
mounting or framing. This map provides a fine way to show your pride in your heritage,
and is also a wonderful way to view Scotland via the history of the Macleans.
Proceeds from the map will be shared between Clan Maclean Atlantic, and the Clan Maclean
Heritage Trust. The Trust, although based in Scotland is actively involved in commemorating
Maclean sites, events, or persons around the world.
The maps are only $10 each plus shipping. Please note that they are expensive to package and
ship, so shipping is an additional $10. If you are buying more than one, and/or if you
and others who live in the same area are buying up to 5 of them, they can be shipped
together for $10.
